To support the growth plans of Silver Arrow we are pleased to announce that Jodie Buckley will be the Assistant Management Accountant for Silver Arrow Specialist Recruitment Agency.
In addition to her current work Jodie will pick up all Silver Arrow finance work currently done by Tracy Campbell

Brit European was recently tasked to move 6 x JCB 330 LR Tracked Excavators from Beamhurst, Staffordshire to Southampton Docks and which were destined to be shipped to China. These are big, long and heavy machines!
Phil Murphy, pictured below left, was given the unenviable task of planning the moves. Phil had to organise timings to the second, arrange for Vehicle Escorts for the whole of the journey and to ensure that all legislation was covered. There was no room for error. As one would expect the collections and deliveries went like clockwork! The journey took just over 7 hours to complete and all machines arrived at the designated times in Southampton Docks. Perfect Planning by Phil. One of the drivers, Craig Draper, pictured bottom right, was so relieved that he arrived on time and without any mishap that he took to saying a prayer to someone....not sure if it was to Phil or someone higher up the Supply Chain!! A big thank you to Phil and his drivers for a job very well done.

The start of 2016 sees a further step forward in the development of the Brit European Car Division with the start of a new Contract with Honda Motors Europe. This contract involves the collection and delivery of Honda Motor Cars from the Honda factory in Swindon for delivery to the Port of Southampton.
‘As with the Contract renewal from Mercedes-Benz, this additional Award for another one of our business units further highlights our expertise in the movement of Automotive vehicles’ says Peter Duranti, General Manager of the Automotive Division.
The new contract with Honda Motors Europe commenced in January 2016

Sad to say but Mick Brown has decided to call it a day on his career at Brit European on Friday 29 January 2016. During his time at Brit, Mick has been instrumental in designing, modifying and altogether changing completely some of the fleet we use for moving cars, vans and heavy trucks. Mick was treated to a buffet by the Company and was joined by some of his friends in the trade past and present. We all wish Mick a very happy retirement.

The guests shown in the photos shown below are:

Mercedes-Benz has renewed its contract with Brit European for the collection and delivery of Commercial Vehicles from Ports of Entry into the UK to the Mercedes-Benz dealer network.

Commenting on the Award, Peter Duranti (pictured below), General Manager of the Brit European Automotive Division says 'The recent confirmation by Mercedes-Benz of a new three year contract for the UK distribution of Heavy & Light Commercial Vehicles is continued evidence that Brit European is at the forefront of Commercial Vehicle Distribution in the UK. The successful renewal of this very important contract is testament to the efforts of all staff throughout the business and demonstrates the expertise and reliability that Brit European can offer. The contract renewal has been achieved against strong competition in the market place and we must ensure that we continue to be innovative and creative in providing Mercedes-Benz with an exemplary delivery service and even higher standards going forward’

The new contract started in January 2016.
